Spanish Speaking Dentist Tomas Alicea Joins Stonewood Dental
Please join us in welcoming our first Spanish speaking dentist and the newest member of the Stonewood Dental team, Dr. Tomas Alicea. Tomas has been practicing dentistry since 1975 and has the unique distinction of being the only English and Spanish speaking dentist in private practice serving the central Texas area.
Dr. Alicea earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine or DMD degree from the University of Puerto Rico and performed his General Practice Residency (GPR) in the VA Hospital in San Juan, PR. He has been practicing dentistry in the United States for the past seven years.
Tomas married his wife Evelyn in 1993 and the couple has five adult children.
While striving to serve the central Texas Spanish speaking community with the best possible dental care, Stonewood Dental has struggled with a communications gap. The addition of Dr. Alicea and a few other Spanish speaking hygienists and dental assistants we have ensured that nothing gets lost in translation.

Stonewood Dental. El Dr. Tomas Alicea. Tomas a ejercido la odontologia desde 1975 y tiene el
privilegio de ser el unico dentista que habla espanol (e ingles) en practica privada en el area central de
Texas.
El Dr. Alicea obtuvo su doctorado en medicina dental (DMD) de la Universidad de Puerto Rico
y realizo una residencia en practica general (GPR) en el hospital de veteranos en San Juan P.R. Luego
muchos anos en la practica privada en Puerto Rico se reubico en Texas en el 2007.
Esta casado con Evelyn Bonilla desde 1993 y tiene cinco hijos adultos.
Al mismo tiempo que tratan de servir a la comunidad hispana del centro de Texas con el mejor
tratamiento posible, Stonewood Dental a luchado con el problema de la barrera del idioma. La
adicion del Dr. Alicea asi como de hygienistas y asistentes dentales que hablan espanol nos
asegura que nada se perdera en la traduccion.
